しかしながらキリスト教(含むユダヤ教、イスラム教)のような
一神教では、いくら普遍的な「愛」を説こうとも、所詮、「絶対
神 VS 人間」という世界観からは逃れられないのではないか?
だから、他者(物)に対する感情を表す言葉がloveであろうと、
愛であろうと、他のいかなる言語であろうと、その感情の元には
必ず「自己」が入るのではないか?
という風にも思いを巡らせた次第。
ところで「愛」を語ったといわれるコリント人への手紙一の一節:
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful
or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not
irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does
not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth
wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always
hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

いやはや、やっぱりこのコンセプトを表現するには「love」とい
う単語では役不足のような気がしますね(笑)
